How Do I Know If My Real Estate Blog Is Working?

A working blog (or website) is desperately important for any business owner, and in particular, Realtors®.  But, the question “How do i know if my real estate blog is working?” is asked by most and rarely is it answered sufficiently.

Good news!  Google has an answer for you!  And, of course, it is free to use.  God bless Google, right?!  The answer is In-Page Analytics.  This beta program was released back in October and is a great addition to what Google has to offer within their analytics system.

Below I have put together a short video on how to access it, how to use it and what you should be able to takeaway from the information it provides you with.  So if you have ever wondered if your page layout is optimal for what you want your buyers/sellers to accomplish, or if your calls to action are motivating and visible enough, this is a must have weapon for you to add to your arsenal!

I don’t get the little balloons on my in-page content. Do I have to activate the feature somehow?

  2. Great video and tutorial! I use Google Analytics for the my websites but had not seen the In-Page Analytics. I am looking at my website’s in-page analytics right now and have already learned a lot. Thanks for the information!

  3. Chris,

Analytics is probably the single most impt. factor to determine success of our blogs. I have to add though that it takes 2-3 years to fully see the fruits of your labor.

P.S thanks for the nice link for the analytics vid.

  4. LOL, God Bless google is pretty funny! How do you know if your blog is working? Do you have people opting in, creating accounts, contacting or calling you, filling out forms, rating your blog posts, sharing it, liking it, retweeting it. . .
I like the in-page analytics. It tells me immediately what tab or button is unclear to consumers. I have one on my site that no one clicks on like the speaker in the video. I wouldn’t have known that without the in-page analytics.

  5. Thanks so much! Very interesting video especially about how to tell how many clicks are below the fold. Everyone always says how important it is to optimize about the fold but this is real evidence. I am going to check mine out on google analytics right now!

The more I’m learning about social media, the more I realize just how much I don’t know. Thanks for the insight.

Great video! This tool seems to be very useful. I have a friend who just finished his blog and he had the same question. He is a famous real estate agent, Michael Libow, and he’s blog have to work perfectly. Hope Google In-Page-Analytic will help him to find the answers he was looking for.
