Top Producer 8i iPhone App Finally Arrives
Better late than never comes to mind. Top Producer will officially release their long awaited iPhone app for their industry leading CRM Top Producer 8i on Thursday September 9th.
I had a chance to do an exclusive, full hands on review which I have documented in the video above and must say that it may have just been worth the wait.
While many users are overwhelmed by the full power of Top Producer 8i and all of it’s capabilities, the new mobile app is streamlined down to just the features you as a busy Realtor need access to in the field.
Your contacts, calendar, notes, activities, listings and closings will now be at your finger tips if you are using any model of the iPhone including the new iPhone 4. Not only can you access all of the information you need, you can add contacts, add appointments or notes, edit any fields and the iPhone app will wirelessly sync that new information back to your main Top Producer 8i database.
I also loved the ability to text message a client from within the app, a first for Top Producer. For Market Snapshot users there is even a button in each clients record for creating Market Snapshots on the fly which I could see being extremely useful while out in the field and being asked “How’s the market?”.
All in all this is a long overdue but worthy entry into the app store for Top Producer. There will be multiple pricing options including monthly, annual or lifetime choices for payment.

Hey Chris ~ Can you share with a team?
I will check
Thrilled that the Top Producer 8i app. is finally out! Thanks Tech Savvy & TP! I have used Top Producer since 1992 when it was DOS! Ya come a long way baby!! – Ray
I will be interested to hear from the early adopters how the app syncs with the desktop database.
When I was beta testing this app earlier this summer, the sync feature was buggy and needed work.
If I were to schedule something on the desktop version or add a contact / lead on the desktop version, it wouldn’t show up on the iPhone version even after a remote sync. Not good if you’re relying on the mobile app in the field to have everything you need from the desktop version.
Hopefully this major problem was resolved before the upcoming roll-out.
Price Price Price?
$9.95 per month or $100 annually
Looking forward to trying this out. Another great way for us to be more productive. I wonder what it will look lie on the iPad.
Does Top Producer have any plans to provide a Droid App, too.
MLS-Office has had iPhone/smartphone sync for sometime now, with no additional fee. No app necessary to have schedule and contact sync wirelessly. Check it out at http://www.mlsoffice.com
Any word on an app for Android devices?
I would like to know with this app can we read our email on our phones? Because that is what I would like to be able to do from Top Producer.
SO, IF I try it do I have to commit for a year? That is the one thing I HATE about TP. I have been stuck with several 1 year contracts and have learned to NOT TRY or TRUST Top Producer when it comes to testing thier products. I love my Iphone apps, and love the idea of having Top Producer be as productive as some of the great apps I already have.
Chris, I just called about the app with Top Producer technical support and they said there is NO WAY TO ENTER you can sync a calendar with the TP Iphone App?? You have to manually enter all of these entries… Yikes! Any suggestions?
Tune in next week to hear how poor the Customer service and policy TP engaged with me concerning switching the mobility license that I have had part of my bundle pricing. When I have had for over 5 years all of TP services and paid for a Mobility license, you are given a choice to pick your handheld device. Now when you change they want you to sign a new year contract for something you have already paid for. Real Estate Radio Now on 540 WFLA next Saturday will be a time to voice your concerns and disappoints with these TP policies. The general public now there a cost to doing business but they need to know that we get screwed by just a few. All I wanted to do was us the Iphone instead of the Palm. It is a MOBILITY LICENSE.

All excellent information when making a decision. I need to hear the good with the bad. As always, it’s a little more comfortable to wait to see what quirks need to be worked out in a brand new system, before jumping in with both feet.
I called TP and there are no immediate plans for creating and app for Android. Really? From what I hear Android is outselling iPhone. Could really use the app for my Droid.
Yeah, but Top Producer still does not work on a Mac.
I use it with Parallels and have no issues.
What a shame it came after I cancelled the service. They released the info on Facebook rather than 1st letting the paying customers know it was out. I’m guess they don’t have a good database they can use to keep in touch with clients.
Im looking for an Android app for TP. I hope that it happens soon
The iPhone app for Topproducer looks great! My question now is when will they have an app for the Android? I have a new Droid X & love it! I was faced with a dying Treo before Thanksgiving that would not linger till January / February to get the iPhone or be without a phone. I made the leap knowing all the great apps would not be available for Droid with the hope apps for iPhone would soon be available for Droid…
I found I can still use Topproducer on my Droid with limited functionality but works enough for me now.
Your thoughts…
I have no interest in getting an iPhone and I almost decided to go back to a Blackberry just so I could use TP from the road. Anyone have any info on when or if they plan to pull out an Android app?
